Services
Home Energy Audit
The auditor will spend up to 3 hours on-site focusing on the priorities of the homeowner. He may:

Measure insulation thickness and grade installation quality (when accessible) to determine actual R-value.

Measure building shell air leakage with a blower door & identify areas for targeted improvement.

Check for air leaks, insulation voids, and moisture issues with infrared imaging (when outdoor temperature permits).

Measure duct leakage & diagnose major problems.

Assess efficiency of the HVAC equipment & water heater.

Investigate base load (not heating & cooling) energy consumption.

Check for adequate ventilation according to ASHRAE 62.2-2016 standard.

Assess windows for upgrade potential.

Discuss findings and any homeowner concerns.
Within 2 weeks, the auditor will deliver a report with recommendations in an actionable, prioritized list.

Diagnostic Testing
ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380 compliant
Blower door test report: $125
Leak locating, infrared imaging*, duct testing, and other diagnostic testing available: $100/hr
Mechanical ventilation flow testing, zonal pressure testing, pressure pan testing, and other troubleshooting services: $100/hr
Air handler flow and ACCA 310 HVAC grading services may be offered soon. Please contact me if interested.
*Infrared imaging may be ineffective when the temperature differential between conditioned and unconditioned space is less than 15 degrees.
